I'm Sabarinathan Ragunathan, a Software Development Engineer at M2P Fintech in Chennai. I build the backend of lending products: the loan origination, management and credit line systems that have to be right every single time. My tools are Java and Spring Boot, Node.js, Golang, and REST APIs designed to scale. B.Tech in Computer Science from SRM University.

I like hard problems and short feedback loops. Give me a legacy system to modernise, a production issue to trace to its root, or a new intern to bring up to speed, and I'm at my best. Outside work I keep learning, mostly for the fun of it.

Software Development Engineer - I

M2P Fintech — Chennai, Tamil Nadu

  • Build and extend core lending modules across LOS, LMS, CMS, BNPL and Credit Line systems.
  • Built CMS capabilities from scratch and migrated legacy code onto Java / Spring Boot services.
  • Owned the migration and tuning of critical SQL queries to Oracle DB for a key client, with no loss of compatibility or performance.
  • Deliver features end to end: secure backend APIs wired into ReactJS frontends.
  • Trace high-impact production issues to their root cause and ship permanent fixes, lifting reliability and uptime.
  • Own delivery across modules, and help hire and mentor interns.

  • Built and improved NestJS backend modules, from independent features to optimisation and integration.
  • Rebuilt the image pipeline with Sharp and WebP, cutting load times by 50% across the app.
  • Shipped frontend features in React and TypeScript end to end, improving product quality and user experience by 25%.
  • Added real time observability and load tested with Apache JMeter, proving the backend stable at 6x projected traffic.
  • Delivered key product features on tight deadlines, working directly with leadership with minimal supervision.
